Who Is Janelle Bryan?

I am a hard-working and thoughtful graphic designer who is willing to give anything a try. I left high school thinking I wanted to have a career in literature or history but soon discovered that as much as I love those fields, it wasn’t where I wanted to pursue a career.

Finding My Passion

I found a passion for being a graphic designer, and for the constant learning that comes with it. As my skills develop, I find new ways to do things. I can be given a project and accomplish it in a completely different way than someone else. It may be because I prefer a different program, have a different style, or solve problems differently. No matter what, what I design will not be the same as what someone else if they are given the same specifications. What I designed two years ago is not the same as what I would do now, or even in the future. This is because I am constantly learning and evolving, and I am excited to start learning and evolving with you.

My Experience as a Graphic Designer

In my local community, I have had freelance experience on the graphics team at my church. I also worked for people who have needed design work done. I usually used a mixture of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, my two favourite Adobe programs, to accomplish these projects. In addition to those programs, I am also proficient in Photoshop, Lightroom, Dreamweaver (HTML, CSS, and PHP), Animate, and After Effects. I am able to fully use Word, Excel, and ProPresenter as well. Since I have a Liberal Arts degree, I am skilled in reading and writing in addition to being used to learning new things and having to have good time management skills.

What Am I Looking For?

I am looking for a full-time position after my stage and graduation, but more importantly, to work somewhere where there is passion and there is growth. Being challenged is important to me, and above all, I want to explore different methods and styles of designing with skilled people. I enjoy working with print, whether it be packaging, posters, business cards, or booklets. There is something about designing something on a screen and being able to hold it in your hands. This is what I find so satisfying. This is especially true when it is part of the branding for a company because you get to see the unity of it all. I am eager to be a part of a team in order to learn more in my field to improve my skills even more.

I am excited to connect with you to work for my stage placement and beyond! In the meantime, check out my LinkedIn profile and my portfolio to find out even more about me.

I am a graphic designer that likes to try out new styles and try to figure out what my Liberal Arts DEC is good for. I also get way too up and personal with textures and nature.
