About Myself

Let me introduce myself; my name is Stephanie Soltesz, a Junior Graphic, Web and Layout Designer from Beaconsfield, Quebec. During my stay here in the Graphic & Web Design program at John Abbott College, I have been inducted and immersed with a variety of graphic and layout skills.

Through my learning process, I was introduced to such computer programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Acrobat Pro, Acrobat Distiller and a bit of Premier), Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook/Hotmail) etc. At the Cegep, I’ve explored how to create effective, polished and professional graphic design products like business cards, posters, designing brochures, manuals, magazines, books, flyer’s, DVD covers, posters, jewel cases and jewel case booklets, and much more. While there, I've also learned how to create various styles of websites using different types of web codes, for example, HTML5, CSS3, Wordpress, introductory PHP and JavaScript.

All this to help me to propel my career choice as a Junior Graphic, Web and Multimedia Designer, which helped me choose a proper career path suitable for my marketable skills.

My Skills

My primary skills are centred on graphic and layout design yet I also truly enjoy creating websites with Wordpress and CSS3/HTML5. I am thrilled to create layouts for such things as business cards, branding, flyer’s, logo design, posters but mostly magazines, manuals and book layout and designs. My design comes across as logically laid out, with at times a splash of colour, which displayed eye-catching.

My primary skill sets would be the print industry where I am passionate about creating clean, organised and structured layouts, but I also enjoy creating the occasional website. Branding, researching, sketching, than creating. I aim to make, create and place content and information that is pleasing to the eye in easy to follow layouts. But it does not mean that I do not enjoy everything about graphic and web design. It would be my pleasure to help you with your graphic and web needs, from websites to branding and anything in-between.

Designing is a passion of mine, every venture I take with a client is diverse and continuously keeps me on my toes. Each project, small or large has been different with a goal and purpose that is unique.
