Get to Know Me
Well hi there, I'm Amanda: comic book fan, world-traveller, pun enthusiast. Being 2 parts girl and 1 part pure cinnamon roll, I'm a lover of all things cute and hand-made. I’m currently finishing up my last semester of Graphic & Web Design at John Abbott College and I hope to continue studying design at York University or Concordia this Fall.
As a designer, I’m passionate about using my creative skills and technical know-how to develop innovative visual solutions for every new project. Finding a way to communicate different ideas visually can be a challenge, but in the end, both the process and the result are very rewarding.
In my work, I like to use of a lot of bright, happy colors, geometric shapes and white space. I also draw inspiration from some of my favourite designers and artists like Jennet Liaw and Adrian Alphona and from roaming the city of Montreal.
Once I'm done studying, I hope to work in a design firm or creative agency alongside friendly, innovative individuals, focusing particularly on branding. I also would like to hone my hand-lettering skills and eventually have the opportunity to travel and collaborate with designers across the globe.
