The crow must be in a stressful environment, but yet show confidence and bravery.</p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS,: I illustrated the storm to suggest a dark gloomy mood and bright lights that relates to lightning and to help reveal the crow better.</p> <p>PROCESS: research/ sketch and refine</p> <p>TOOLS USED: Photoshop</p> <p>CHALLENGES: Understanding the anatomy of a crow, and what differentiates them from other birds such as ravens. </p> Noir Boarder Character Design <p>CONCEPT: Design a Character for a mystery graphic novel game. Character is a classmate of one of the victims.</p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS,: I kept the character up to date with the trending fashions of today's students: long-board, comfortable clothing, event buttons attached to backpack straps. He lives in the slums of a sci-fi city where sunlight is rare. He must protect himself from sunlight at all-times to avoid sickness.</p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS,: Cane and torn clothes suggest character's old and fragile persona. Scanned and refined digitally</p> <p>TOOLS USED: pen/paper photoshop</p> <p>CHALLENGES: Combining contrasting elements between advanced technology but still looking like he lives in a poor environment.</p> Orc Portrait Character Design <p>CONCEPT: Illustrate a portrait side view of a creature/warrior</p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS: Strong jaw and helmet to suggest the warrior persona of the character.</p> <p>PROCESS: sketch and refine</p> <p>TOOLS USED: Photoshop</p> <p>CHALLENGES: Keeping a warrior and primal mood to the character, while suggesting a beautiful setting with the light.</p>

Double Exposure Portrait Photography <p>CONCEPT: Create double exposure portraits for Blind Lens Studio tradefair project</p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS: Adding mountain graphics in background to compliment photo and eliminate white space. Changing entire photo to a singular Hue/color to avoid unmatching colors between model and mountain.</p> <p>PROCESS: Photoshoot, photo-compositing</p> <p>TOOLS USED: Photoshop</p> <p>CHALLENGES: Utilizing the negative space to reveal the mountain.</p> Double Exposure Portrait Photography <p>CONCEPT: Create double exposure portraits for Blind Lens Studio tradefair project</p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS: Adding smoke graphics in background to compliment photo and eliminate white space. Utilizing model's hair flip to continue on as smoke. The company is a visual development studio that provides visual content for the entertainment industries. </p> <p>HOW DESIGN SOLVES PROBLEMS: eye that is cut in half creates a double imagery of lenses and a blind eye.
