About the designer

I enjoy making minimalistic designs. Throughout my life I have learned the very important lesson of “less is more”. My work is generally cute and uplifting and I love designing and illustrating characters.

I have a lot of outside of school experience that helps me as a designer. I have a long standing passion for drawing and photography. I believe these help me stand out as a designer since I put a focus on creating my own content for my designs instead of using creative common images. I feel like this gives a much more original and personal look to designs. I am very experienced with editing photos in Photoshop but I also use the program to paint digital images. My favourite program to use is illustrator. I use it almost every day to illustrate characters, do art commissions or design posters or t-shirts.

Even though I am more of an illustrator, I still enjoy web design. The most fun I have is coding for responsiveness. There is so better feeling than opening your browser after a session of coding and seeing the responsiveness at work.

A fun fact about me is I have grapheme colour synesthesia. This means I see each number, letter and basic shape in different colours. Because of this I have been exposed to odd colour combinations my whole life. My theory is that this helped me learn which combinations work and which do not. Despite the minimalist look of my site which is mostly black and white, I love working with colour.
