Recreating the famous vogue magazine was very fun and exciting. Although, the hard part was trying to re create a different format with the exact same pictures and text. Using our visual minds, trying to find new and unique formats to where place the text and picture so it wont look the same yet similar. Overall, it was the most fun and easy print project.
Ona Bar
Ona bar is a Hawaiian themed bar located in downtown Montreal. On a bar has authentic drinks that uses real Hawaiian alcohol imported and other fresh ingredients such as coconuts. Every week, there is a special deal on a drink. The logo and menu has a minimal yet has a tropical bar vibe to it.
Blooms Bubble Tea
This poster was inspired by a popular asian drink called bubble tea. It was difficult to create a bubble tea brochure because you want to keep the asian authentic yet because we are in canada, we do not want to be fully different to a point where we cannot even read or understand the brochure and menu.
Alvin Lustig Poster
Keeping it classy with a black background and white details and a splash of colour from some of Alvin Lustig work. This poster is meant to be focus on the graphic design Alvin Lustig and show casing his work. The hardest part of creating this poster was trying to keep it simple and only using his work as colour and recreating his graphic design style.
AGDE Poster
This poster is for the GWD Graphic Design Exhibition Vernissage 2018. The concept of this poster was to be messy and yet readable by using lines, transparency and most importantly typography. One of the main challenges of creating this poster was to make sure there was not to much going on where the viewer is not able to read it while still keeping the Josef Albers style.
Food Blog Eblast
Changing it up from print work, this e-blast is about self promotion of a food blog. Now in days, blogs of every topic such as fashion, food, beauty and etc are very popular. It is like a print magazine but online and more personal. One of the challenges of this self promo e-blast was trying to put information about the blog and not making it sound like a post. Trying to connect with the viewers and string them and not giving away everything at once.
Photography
As a designer, its always good to have some photography skills because it will benefit your carrer and happiness. Here are the very few photographs I have taken during the year. Each one has a meaning and story behind it and I would like to share it with you.
SockMe Packaging
Making a sport packaging for socks as tough. It had to be noticanle, reprentable to the buyers and stand out from other socks. I desinged to be in a box because they are special socks for running, the running shoe in the front, running quotes to get inspired from in english and french on the side and the brown for classy "dirt" color.
Racquet Chamption Eblast
This is one of the few eblast I have made for one of my clients, Racquet Champion. Keeping the sports vibe, I used grass from one of this picture he gave as the background, red font for sale because its on sale and colour theme is red. The pictures were the main focus to be able to sell the products, therefore I made the picture a bit larger to be more visable.
