About Me

I'm a previous graduate of John Abbott College in the program formerly known as C.A.L.L. (creative arts, language, and literature), now ALC. For as long as I could remember, I've had a passion for all creative forms of expression, such as drawing/painting, literature/writing, music, design, etc. I wanted to find a way to put my creativity and perfectionism into practical use, and that's how I came to the seemingly easy decision to change my career path.

Skills

Illustrations

Be it through old fashioned graphite and paper, or with a mouse and tablet, I love creating original illustrations for personal and professional projects. I find it to be a great way to incorporate my creativity and style into the designs I make.

Photography

My experience in photography is all over the place. In my previous program I had practice in darkroom and digital photography. It's also something I enjoy doing in my free time for friends and social media. I had another more formal class in my Graphic & Web Design program where I really honed my skills and knowledge in proper photo taking and editing in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Logos & Layouts

Within the design field I have many interests, such as posters, brochures, menus, packaging, and all things related. I've learned a great deal about layout with complementary colours, negative space, use of repetition and a number of visual elements that I feel confident within my abilities as a designer.
