The industry of web and graphic design is highly competitive. Fortunately there are new opportunities every day. The industry is growing on both the micro and macro scales. My skills are best suited for business-to-business work, but I have no problem dealing with the general public as well.
My main skills are those I learned in the Graphic & Web Design program, namely my experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver. Other than that, I have experience in programming from my time in Computer Science and some small extracurricular projects. I took a Coursera online class about app programming that taught me how to use the language called Processing, which is largely similar to C++. Several years of working at a Wendy's restaurant has taught me the value of hard work and determination.
My greatest strengths are the technical, unambiguous aspects of design, such as coding. Anything that requires patience and being methodical can go well with my abilities. I can also learn and solve new problems on my own thanks to information and help being available on the internet. People appreciate my coding skills and problem-solving ability.
Another advantage is that nothing is tying me down in this city of Montreal. I am able to move to another city or even another country if necessary. Since I speak three languages (English, French, Romanian), I communicate with little difficulty in most places in the world.
I would like to point out that I avoid posting my personal information on social media such as Facebook. This is due to their known practice of selling this information to 3rd party entities. However, I have no problem giving some personal details during an interview or through e-mail.
