My name is Catherine Bégin, and I am a passionate and driven creative spirit with a fascination for emerging forms of media. I love to make discoveries, innovate and explore beyond the beaten path.
Design Student Aspiring for Multimedia Art Direction
Throughout my studies, the design work I’ve accomplished has consistently impelled me to use my imagination to its full extent in order to stand out from the crowd. This process of conceptualization that continues to motivate me as well as my unquenchable desire to go above and beyond expectations make me a candidate for art direction.
Having studied Graphic and Web Design for the past three years at John Abbott College, I have acquired insight on various branches of the print and web industries and a technical skillset in these departments. In the fall, I plan to strengthen my technical and artistic competencies by enrolling for a bachelor’s in media creation – with a preference for interactive media – at UQAM or in computation arts at Concordia University.
Apprentice Looking to Become a Jedi
I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, both HTML and CSS, and I am taking a complementary online programming course (because I’m still hungry and the interactive component of JavaScript captivates me). Additionally, my drive and determination make me a hard-worker that’s prepared to empty the trash and serve coffee simply to work alongside talented and creative professionals in a multimedia agency.
In fact, I am looking for an internship as well as summer employment in any entry-level position in multimedia design, and given my experience as a Web/Graphic Designer, I am suited for jobs in that department as well. Either way, I am eager to gain experience in the field and to participate in the continuous evolution of the media.
I will be relocating downtown over the course of the summer, and am available to work in the broader Montreal area until early August.
Your text is dynamic and well-written. Good work, Catherine.
