Ever since I was young, I’ve always had a passion for art and design. I was captivated by the design of video game logos and the cover art you would find on the physical copies. Something about the visuals on a cover giving you a hint about what you we’re about to play or listen to has always interested me.
In CEGEP at first, I didn’t quite know what I wanted to do. I knew I liked art, but I also really liked working with computers. After taking a Photoshop and basic HTML course as an elective I knew what I enjoyed doing, Graphic Design.
I am a full-time graphic and web design student eager to learn different skills in order to improve my experience and self-confidence. I love to bring positivity to any room because I believe that every moment in one’s life should be filled with happiness and should be productive.
My Graphic & Web Design Stage
In a work environment, I am reliable, respectful, honest, and of course, I have an amazing sense of humor. Also, I am extremely understanding and retain information with ease. I would like to mention that I am not perfect. I often learn what not to do through trial and error. However, these errors are what make me gain experience and welcome guidance and feedback. These also allow me to say that I determined and persistent in this work domain.
My Sequel
Now that you know a bit about me, it is time to talk about the future.
What do I want to see at the end of the tunnel?
My goal for next year is to advance my studies and enroll in a university. I cannot say which yet since I am still in the process of application. As I study, I am open to the possibilities of working part-time.
My Future in Graphic and Web Design
I would love to be able to integrate myself into a company where we share common goals. Somewhere where employees are encouraged to learn and use communication, respect, and patience to complete and succeed in different projects together. I know I might not find this perfect job on my first try. However, I will not give up that easily. I will be grateful for a career path and will bring all of my effort and skills to complete tasks and succeed in the job.
To conclude, I learn every day and am grateful for every opportunity. The Graphic and Web Design program helped me understand Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Microsoft software. As well as many programs and concepts concerning HTML. After intensive six semesters of hard work and vast accumulation of knowledge, I am confirming the that the beginning of my adventure is fast approaching, and I look forward to meeting you.

I am graduating from John Abbott College in the Graphic and Web Design program. I am interested in web, print, and photography.
Background
From a young age, I’ve been toying around with photography, videography, websites, and animations using tools such as iWeb and Adobe Muse. I then became fascinated in 3D environments, using applications such as Blender and Cinema4D. Throughout the years, this wide range of interests has been narrowed down to web design and photography. My vast background keeps me in the know of many different technologies. I am very comfortable designing other print materials as well!
Hello!I’m a student graphic designer and photographer. One of the things that fascinates me about this field is the concept of the ecosystem; different facets of people coming together to create one thing.
Before coming into this field, I had been focusing on Anthropology and History, and I like to carry those perspectives into my design interests. As much as minimalism is very chic, I’m a big fan of the maximalist art styles of the 20th century. And with that in mind, I’m fascinated by how different design aspects are interpreted globally.
Career Ambitions
It seems silly to say but the reason I’m in this field is because of The Devil Wears Prada. Seeing how a magazine comes together—albeit with much less pressure—was something I hadn’t really thought of, so the idea of working in a similar field situation interests greatly. As much as people gripe about group work now, I take pride in leading a team, and my current job has helped me hone those skills from an intrapersonal side as well. As a result, I feel I’m very suited to become part of a design ecosystem, no matter what it is.
The Future
As my knowledge of the different career paths has grown, I’ve realized I really enjoy the styling side of photography. Specifically with food, and how we can create visual stories and how to use it to stimulate the mind visually. The excellent part of this career path is that there so many avenues to explore. For example, I’m currently working on a project blending embroidery and photography, and I’ve become fascinated with the idea of mixing art styles.
For the coming months, I’m extremely open to and excited about new opportunities. I’d like to use the time following after my stage to explore any new paths presented. I’m available to work part-time, and my eventual plan would be to move on to university while continuing with a design-related occupation. My goal is to not only build on my knowledge, but also sharpen the skills I already have.
Currently, I am in my third year at John Abbott in Graphic and Web design. I am a dedicated, hardworking and preserving individual. One of my favorite things to do as a designer is to be involved in branding & illustrating. I can use my skills to help businesses achieve and reach their communication goals.
Drawing interests me a lot and I look forward to perfecting my current skills and developing new ones. I love to draw and convert my work into digital art. Creating innovative designs for branding & illustrating using my drawing skills is a passion.
Stage
I am looking for a stage placement and will be available for a summer internship. Next Fall I will be starting my Design studies at Concordia University and will be open to part-time design work. I look forward to collaborating and learning from the team that I will work with.
I am someone who loves to keep expanding my knowledge as this challenges me. My strengths in Adobe software are Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom and I am excited to put them to good use in the job market.
Goals
For next Fall I am planning on perusing my studies at Concordia in the Design Program. To start my career, I want to expand my knowledge. This will include doing meaningful work towards the sustainability of our planet.
As I begin my career, I am extremely enthusiastic and eager to see where my creative path will take me. I have developed numerous skills using a wide range of Adobe software programs. By getting a stage I hope to gain more work experience. I want to gain and make a positive contribution to a company. Through having had some experience with freelancing, it has helped me gain more knowledge, grow as a designer and become even more passionate about what I do.
I look forward to an interesting and successful career in the graphic design field.
Please feel free to view my portfolio and contact me with any questions.
I am a hard-working and thoughtful graphic designer who is willing to give anything a try. I left high school thinking I wanted to have a career in literature or history but soon discovered that as much as I love those fields, it wasn’t where I wanted to pursue a career.
Finding My Passion
I found a passion for being a graphic designer, and for the constant learning that comes with it. As my skills develop, I find new ways to do things. I can be given a project and accomplish it in a completely different way than someone else. It may be because I prefer a different program, have a different style, or solve problems differently. No matter what, what I design will not be the same as what someone else if they are given the same specifications. What I designed two years ago is not the same as what I would do now, or even in the future. This is because I am constantly learning and evolving, and I am excited to start learning and evolving with you.
As a recent graduate of the Graphic and Web Design Program at John Abbott College, the number one thing on my mind is to be better. By already having a great foundation in the the GWD program I aspire to further better my skills as a graphic designer. I strongly believe that there is no limit when it comes to improving our skills and ourselves as well. As long as a human being is willing to put in the work and sacrifice, the height of achievable success is limitless.
Hopefully, it will come true
My dream stage/job is a place where people are understanding end encourages each other to be a better version of themselves. I love and enjoy working with reasonable people that understand that they are either rewards or consequences to our actions. Most of all, I would love to work for a place where I would acquire the most knowledge the most about our industry. Gaining knowledge is one of my top priorities because it will make me better and therefore benefit the company as well.
The Right Fit
Through the years I’ve learned how to cooperate and collaborate with people. I keep in mind what the people around me like and dislike apply it when interacting and communicating with . Also, I am not afraid to voice my ideas and opinions at proper times. I also know when to back down and let it go. With all that being said, I find myself fitting in with any group of people as long they know my boundaries as well. I would love to be a graphic designer for your company and would be always grateful for getting hired and getting the opportunity to prove myself.
Future
My plan is to go to university to get my bachelor’s degree in Design. And work in the field as a graphic designer. With this I will be doubling the knowledge that I acquire which is going to make me a great asset to any company out there.
I am an outgoing graphic designer based in Montreal who enjoys creating vivid illustrations. I am about to graduate from the John Abbott Graphic and Web Design program. I’m a creative person who is always trying to make everything look perfect. What I enjoy about designing is that it lets me be creative and free with my expression.
Open-minded and ingenious aspiring designer based in Montreal. Knowledgeable with both web and print media as well as the Adobe Suite. My knowledge spans across software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.
During my three-week stage, I am looking forward to working in a real work environment in order to figure out my place on the team. I am open to any job opportunity in Montreal, my goal for this stage is to get a grasp of what it feels like to be working as a designer in a real job environment as well as meet other ingenious individuals.
In June, my friends and I are planning to visit Europe from the 8th to the 23rd. This trip, while being a good time off, is also a perfect opportunity to absorb a whole plethora of new inspirations relating to my craft.
After CEGEP, my plan is to start work full-time with a design company situated in Montreal. Although CEGEP has taught me many things, I will learn a lot more about this profession by working in the field.
My goal is to take all the knowledge obtained through my education and apply it in real-life scenarios. For the first couple of years, my work within a company will help me define my work path. It will help me figure out my niche and my true passion in the industry. Admittedly, I am a bit shy when meeting new people. However, once warmed up to the new environment, I can be a real asset to the team as I am hard-working, passionate and willing to learn.
Eventually, in a few years, once I figured out my career path. I would like to go back to university to hone in this line of work and perfect it.
About
I have been always been creative. Throughout my youth, I would constantly be drawing, cutting, folding and gluing. This creativity was not as present in my every day daily life in high school, but I still cherished it. At the end of high school, like many other people, I was stuck choosing what to study. I ultimately decided to follow my heart and do what I’m passionate about. What I can see myself doing for the rest of my life.
I am open to any job opportunity; I know that I am passionate about this career and that I am motivated to learn and grow and become a great designer.
It’s taken me time to find my calling, which is turning ideas into design.
About me
I originally studied Creative Arts at CEGEP, I tried Art History at McGill University and I spent a year learning about Fashion Design at Lasalle College. One thing always stayed the same: I’ve never strayed from the creative field. I have the experience of having tried different things.
